The word ‘Village’ reflects the most familiar unit of community for Vietnamese people, while ‘Bird’ symbolizes nature and the original source of our inspiration—the Kingfisher. We believe that science is the thread connecting humans with the surrounding world, and Bird Village is a space to nurture curiosity, share knowledge, and spark connections between people and nature as a harmonious community.
The story of founding the Village
The scientific exploration journey of Bird Hamlet is the fruit of endless inspiration, sparked by Prof. Quan-Hoang Vuong. With The Kingfisherish Fables as a guiding lighthouse, it signifies a profound bond between humanity and nature. From those deeply philosophical pages, we nurture the aspiration to build an accessible science communication platform—a place where reflections can be shared, helping each of us better understand our own nature and the wonders of the natural world.
